Hello everyone!
My name is Brian Ashton and I live in Ringwood, New Jersey. Ringwood is nestled in the mountains of northern New Jersey. I am married and have two children. I believe that having hobbies are a very important part of life. My hobbies include fishing (usually with my daughter), mountain biking, swimming, hockey (with my son), travel, and remote control cars, boats, and planes. Work and school are important parts of my life but my life experiences are what make me the person that I am.
I work for Quantitative Management Associates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial. I have been there for several years and have recently been promoted to manager of information systems. My company's website is QMa I earned my undergraduate degree in Information Systems from The New Jersey Institute of Technology. This is my 6th class in the Business Continuity, Security, and Risk Management program at BU and have enjoyed every one of them.
Besides taking this course as a requirement for my graduate degree, I am also taking this course because I hope to learn more about the reasons why ecommerce sites fail. It seems that we hear more about the successes of ecommerce sites but rarely hear about the reasons why the fail.
I have truly enjoyed each of my prior classes and look forward to this one. Good luck all!
